An artist or designer that you admire, and what about their work resonates with you?

The first person that springs to mind is Alice Neel. She’s able to capture character in such a charming way. Her depiction of a very specific New York City is unmatched.

Favourite way to get out of a creative rut?

The Artists Way by Julia Cameron has some excellent techniques to stimulate creativity. It’s simple, but the solo date is particularly good to open the mind.

The last place you visited that you can’t stop thinking about?

I visited Mexico City for the first time last year. It has such a vibrant, optimistic energy. The art, culture and music scene were all alive and I had one of the best nights out of my life in a nightclub hosted in a parking garage. I’d love to return soon.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

The obvious choice would be invisibility so I could capture imagery of people at their most natural in their daily existence with no self-awareness. However, I have to say teleportation would be great to cut down on travel time.

What's your favourite quote or saying that you live by?

“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”
