A recent experience that inspired you creatively?
Visiting Pedro Reyes' studio and home in Mexico City was unforgettable. Every detail felt personal and intentional, like stepping into a living artwork. His design choices reflected his values, inspirations, and way of life, telling a deeply personal story.
An artist or designer that you admire, and what about their work resonates with you?
Few designers embody joy, elegance, and versatility like Gio Ponti. His brilliance came from blending architecture, furniture, product design, and publishing with a distinct voice. Playful yet purposeful, his creations are vibrant, crafted to perfection. Ponti’s timeless legacy continues to inspire interior designers and architects, balancing innovation with lasting beauty.
The last place you visited that you can’t stop thinking about?
Hiking alone to a remote beach in Greece, with no phone or distractions, is an experience I often revisit in my mind. There’s a freedom in being fully present—just the sound of waves, nothing else. I even swam naked (but kept the sunscreen, as any redhead would). And no, I won’t tell you where it is—it's my secret. It’s in those quiet, disconnected moments that my best ideas emerge.
Go-to activity for unwinding after a long day?
A vodka martini—extra cold, extra dry, with a lemon twist—is my perfect way to close out a long day. So crisp and clean, it’s a simple indulgence that signals it’s time to relax and recharge for what’s next.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Mind reading, but only for the positive thoughts. Imagine being able to hear the nice things people think but never say—it would add so much lightness to everyday interactions. Catching those hidden thoughts would make connecting with others feel more genuine.
What's your favourite quote or saying that you live by?
"Buy cheap, buy twice." It’s a principle that reminds me quality is always worth the investment—whether in things, experiences, or relationships. Shortcuts often come back to haunt you, so it’s always better to invest wisely the first time.
Best gift you’ve ever received?
The greatest gift I’ve ever received is the freedom to choose my own path. Having the space to explore my passions, make mistakes, and discover what truly matters has shaped everything I’ve done since. That kind of trust and support is invaluable—and it’s something I’m endlessly grateful for.
Your favourite way to spend a weekend?
Escaping with friends—whether to a quiet beach, a cabin in the woods, or an unexplored neighborhood in the city—is my ideal way to spend a weekend. Breaking the routine, even just for a little while, brings a sense of renewal and leaves me feeling refreshed with a new perspective.
